In November 2011, Batimat's exhibition - the essential meeting place for the French and international construction industry -
will open its doors and LG HI-MACS® will show, for the first time in France, the projects of the finalists and winners of the Design Contest 2011, announced in last September in London.
This will be the perfect occasion to see and appreciate in situ the multiple properties of the New Generation Solid Surface and understand how they were used by students and professionals from different countries to create innovative urban furniture for the cities.
The projects have been fabricated in real size by Global Vacuum Presses, and will be on show at the HI-MACS® booth.

5th HI-MACS® design contest: Finalists results! Next stage: 100% Design London
The winners of the 2011 HI-MACS® Design competition organized by LG Hausys Europe have been announced at a ceremony during the 100% Design show in London. The eight finalists in the two categories – professional and student – were all at the exhibition, where their designs – fabricated in real size by Global Vacuum Presses and VF Superficies Sólidas - were all on show.

This year's HI-MACS® Design Contest focused on Urban Furniture, and received over 500 projects in the two categories - Professional and Student – from the most mind-boggling to fabulous avant-garde ideas.Once again, creativity and audacity came together to challenge traditional designs. Participants have given the best of themselves thanks to their talents and the infinite possibilities offered by HI-MACS® to propose new ways to "dress" our cities. |

| Gemelli Design with the People's choice award "Bath of the Year" |
| The seventh edition of the designs for the bathroom - "Ideal Standard Bath of the Year" awards the most inspiring authors of bathrooms 3D projects created with those offered by Ideal Standard products. For the first time designers nominated in the projects they presented and defended publicly before a specialized jury, all took part in the competition, and media partners. The winners were chosen from among 12 projects nominated, which are characterized by bold ideas, and the combination of design, functionality and innovation in the idea of creating the perfect bathroom.
The awards were presented at a special ceremony at the Hotel "Arena di Serdica" in Sofia. |

| 3th Dalsouple ® design contest: This year's judges were Jim McClelland, Editor of Sustain Magazine, Tim Gaukroger, MD of Dalsouple and Jim Hamilton, Janice Kirkpatrick and Ross Hunter, directors of Graven Images design agency. This year's 'Transform' opened the field to a host of new ideas. For the first time, entries were welcomed from professional designers as well as students, and a second category for product design was introduced alongside interiors.
